ALCOSAN submitted its Wet Weather Plan to the EPA Tuesday, January 29, 2013. A few days later, the Clean Rivers Campaign organized an hour-long Twitter rally to make sure the EPA knows we don’t want to end up with a plan that buries our investment under the river!
On Friday, February 1, 2013, between 2 & 3 PM, the CRC and our enthusiastic supporters sent more than a tweet a minute to the EPA to let them know that ratepayers want a green plan that fixes our sewer system and brings benefits like good jobs, revitalized business districts, and cleaner air to our community.
By the end of the hour-long rally, participants had sent a totally of 80 tweets to the EPA!
We are so thankful to everyone that participated in the Twitter rally and made it such a success!
